Dr. Shaked Navat Pelli, DMD, MSOB, BMedSc

Dr. Pelli has a dual specialty in Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis from the University of Pennsylvania. This dual expertise allows her to manage complex full-mouth reconstructions, from smile design, through dental surgeries to final reconstruction. With over a decade of experience since 2011, Dr. Pelli tailors care to individual patient needs and expectations, ensuring comprehensive solutions for various dental conditions.

Advanced Training in Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Implantology

Dr. Pelli’s extensive training at leading global universities underpins her expertise in advanced dental care, including periodontics treatments, dental implants, and management of conditions like gum recession. After graduating from the DMD program at the University of Jerusalem in 2010, she gained valuable clinical experience as a practicing dentist while developing her skills in prosthodontics. Her academic excellence was further demonstrated when she graduated with honors from the Advanced General Practitioner Program (AGPP). In the United States, Dr. Pelli conducted research at the Forsyth Institute and Harvard School of Dental Medicine while practicing at Forsyth Faculty Practice. She then completed a prestigious dual residency in Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn). At UPenn, Dr. Pelli also earned a master’s degree in oral biology and focused on treating patients with genetically related dental abnormalities, establishing collaborations with Penn’s Department of Genetics to diagnose, research, and treat this unique patient population. This background supports her approach to complex cases often involving periodontics therapies, implant placement, and procedures like gingival grafting.

Extensive Teaching Experience

Dr. Pelli brings extensive teaching experience to her dental practice, having held teaching appointments at prestigious institutions such as the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Pennsylvania. She began her teaching career shortly after graduating from the DMD program at the University of Jerusalem, where she instructed the Fixed Partial Prosthodontics course in the Department of Prosthodontics and was consistently recognized by students as an exceptional instructor. Currently, she serves as an affiliate instructor at the University of Washington, further demonstrating her ongoing commitment to education in her field.
