Extremely sweet retired lady had always dreamed of an ideal smile and now she is ready to make her dream come true. Problems were short teeth with failing crowns, excessive gum display, completely collapsed bite and multiple missing teeth on the posterior upper arch.
Surgery was performed to remove teeth, correct excessive gum display and place 6 implants for an All-On-6 prosthesis (hybrid). She wore an acrylic interim hybrid for only a few months before she received a Zirconia (ceramic) upper hybrid denture that has excellent esthetics and superior strength.
Patient was using acrylic and metal upper and lower implant supported dentures done by the previous dentist. Unfortunately, due to a very strong bite, patient kept fracturing acrylic on dentures and had to be seen multiple times per month for repairs.
Using new technology, it was possible to give this patient a Zirconia Upper Hybrid and a single block acrylic lower hybrid. Both materials have stronger properties making them less prone to fractures and at the same time retaining really high esthetic features. Repairs have not been necessary since prostheses were changed.
Hard working lady has been having problems with her teeth for years. Patients has old crowns that have cavities, her gums are swollen due to ill fitting crowns and has multiple failing teeth that cannot be saved on her upper arch. Patient does not like smiling because she does not like her teeth.
Due to failing crowns and teeth, all upper teeth have to be removed. Implant therapy was chosen using an immediate All-on-6 (hybrid) approach, patient could smile the same day of surgery with an interim implant prosthesis. Six months later, a permanent acrylic Hybrid prosthesis was fabricated, leaving the patient with a spare denture for any emergency.
Patient was missing her upper teeth and using a complete denture that was extremely worn down and with compromised esthetics and function. The remaining teeth on the lower arch have decay, failing crowns and a position that doesn’t not allow a esthetic restoration of her smile and correct bite.
A new upper complete denture with improved esthetics was performed on the upper arch. Failing teeth on the lower arch were extracted and five implants were placed for a All-On-5 prosthesis (hybrid). Interim hybrid made out of a single block of strong acrylic was worn for 4 months and then replaced with a titanium/acrylic permanent hybrid prosthesis.
Patient lost all of his teeth many years ago and had been wearing dentures since. Patient was tired of removing his dentures and having problems keeping them in his mouth and wanted a “permanent” solution.
Using the newest technology available, the case was planned digitally which allowed to make very accurate surgical guides for precise implant placement and to fabricate upper and lower interim acrylic hybrid dentures before the surgery day. Both upper and lower arches received 6 implants for All-On-6 hybrids. Final prosthesis were fabricated with titanium and acrylic with very pleasing esthetic results.
Patient has a functioning upper removable implant prosthesis (snap on denture on implants) and is ready to restore his lower arch. Problem is that his lower teeth are retaining a long bridge that has compromised the support of those teeth.
Patient had crowns on all her upper teeth done several years before. Patient came every few months with a new fracture tooth due to lack of adequate tooth structure, cavities under the crowns and inadequate occlusion (bite).
Six implants were placed on the upper arch to fabricate an All-On-6 prosthesis that replaced all of her teeth the same day of surgery. 6 months later, she received an upper titanium/acrylic permanent hybrid denture and a lower removable partial denture to stabilize her bite.
